That's a shocker.... I suppose I can post about this past weekend and our trip to good old Colorado. We went to Denver on Thursday night, so I had all day on Friday to see my sister and my new little neice Eleanor. The name Eleanor has really grown on me and obviously she is the cutest baby I've ever seen. Other than Katherine, Brighid and Emma, of course. Tommy's kids looked a bit more like clowns. I'll have to post a few pics once I get them off my camera. We went to Wray early saturday morning for Jay's grandma's big birthday party. I have two words for you: Blush & Bashful. THe church looked like it was hosed down with pepto bismal. Apparently g-ma's favorite color is pink and the planning committee took it and ran. It was a nice party. Lots of fellowship. The two most common questions I received from "strangers" (I put that in quotes because apparently Jay is related to most of these people) were: "Aren't there a lof of Indians down there?" and "So, do you stay at home or what do you do?". Turns out I work with the Indians and I think that threw a few people. Sunday was Libby's confirmation. We had some more fellowship and sandwiches at the church. We spent the weekend visiting and doting over Jay's nephew. He's pretty cute and has a partial mullet based on his hair cut. I should find a picture of that. It was good to see Jay's fam. And those are the highlights I suppose. A quick weekend trip out to the edge of colorado makes for a tired me the next day. I'm sure I'll be able to get on top of my lack of sleep here shortly.

In other news, Kristin blabbed to Jay on their date in DC that I had a blog. I'm sure he'll come across it someday so I will have to sensor my thoughts- a little. It's not like I was going to keep it a secret or anything. You're not supposed to keep secrets from your spouse, are you? Oh well. Take care all and I'll be back to post some pics.

Blogger Virgin

Well, being a "lurker" as my husband, Bubbles, likes to call me I decided to blog for myself. "Why" you ask?

(a) Maybe I'm jealous of all the fun my friends are having.

(b) Maybe I have a really exciting life and need to share all the cool things I do.

(c) Maybe I'm not good with emailing and would like to update my friends on what's going on in my life.

I think I'll go with option "c", in addition to posting pictures of my adorable pugs and my tasty cakes. I can't promise anything spectacular. Pootie has really clever subject titles and Pit is an incredibly entertaining writer. I'm not really down with the myspace scene seeing as how you have to interact with people. This seems a little less confrontational where I just write and people can read. That leads me to another thought: Who will actually read this? Probably the Ho's and maybe some of my sibs. We'll see who's lucky enough to get the link. I still need to learn the rules of blogging. I notice a lot of people don't use real names or give the name of their employer. I'm also sure it's not recommended to agree to meet people in dark alleys. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. My next task is to learn how to post pictures. Until then....
